JLS - Everybody In Love

JLS were the real winners of the X Factor even if they did only come runner-up. Since then, the boyband have landed a number one hit with debut 'Beat Again', picked-up two MOBO Awards and have just released a book, all since last year's series (and all before even releasing an album).

Where 'Beat Again' was a delicious slice of uptempo, synth-heavy Usher-lite R&B, 'Everybody In Love' is the token ballad follow-up to show the group aren't limited to just the one style. So let's cut to the chase, although it's not as good as their first single, it is still one of the better songs of 2009 to surface and is sure to go down well with their swelling fanbase.

It's a combo of slick R&B and pop - the kind of thing Blue would be releasing if they ever hit the studio again now they've reformed. It's catchy and nicely produced (clearly no expense has been spared for the band's debut album), the beats are vaguely Crunk inspired, the slow-riding vocals don't disappoint and the lyrics are typically love-themed ("I’d wait forever and a day for you").

But most importantly, 'Everybody In Love' is instantly likeable - justifying why they've become the hottest act of the year. Move over Westlife, there's a new boy band ready to take your crown.
