The mother of Liam and Noel Gallagher feels that Oasis will get back together again in the future.
The band shocked fans at the end of last week, when guitarist and songwriter Noel announced he had quit the rock group - amidst reports that a drunken row was to blame for his decision.
But Gallagher mum Peggy says the split is not likely to be a permanent one.
"They do love each other, but they've always been very different." Peggy told the Mirror. "The funny thing is, they didn't fight as children. They didn't fight until they started the band."
"I hope this isn't the end of Oasis. I don't think it is. They're just tired at the end of the tour. They've had fights before and got over it."
Another name close to the band - former record label boss Alan McGee - also feels that Noel's decision isn't final. "They won't talk for a while." He says. "They'll take two years out and hopefully they'll be fine."
Fans are now speculating that both Noel and Liam will record their own solo albums, before reforming in the future. Some reports also claim Oasis will continue - just without Noel.
