Learning to rap between the ages of 10 and 12, Lil Mama has now signed a deal with Jive Records aged just 16 and her debut single, the infectious Lip Gloss, is set to be a smash hit upon its release soon.
The video sees the pint-sized rapper wanting to be cool at school and with the aid of her magic lip gloss (thanks to her mum), she becomes just that.
The track itself is based around a crunchy heavy drum loop, which lends a beefy accompaniment to Mama's vocals. No wonder she's become tipped in the world of R & B, hip hop and bubblegum pop.
Lil Mama is currently recording he first album Voice of The Young People - expect a Summer release. Meanwhile, check out the poptastic new video.
