Lady Sovereign - X-ED

This is a strange one - it appears before being picked up by one the World's largest and most influential hip hop labels Def Jam, UK rapper Lady Sovereign was moonlighting as an amateur actress and had a starring role in this extremely low budget British film X-ED.

In the 35 minute-long video, Sovereign is a class-dodging, misbehaving teenager who would rather spend her days hanging around stealing phones and getting into trouble than actually attending school.

No matter how cheap-looking the film is or how bad the storyline is, X-ED does see a younger Sovereign rapping and also trying her hand at DJing - plus there's a (not-so-believable) fight scene by the school lockers.
