Psychedelic indie stars the Flaming Lips are just about to release their new single in the US, named The Yeah Yeah Yeah Song. British fans may know the single already came out here last month.

To coincide with the release, the band have created a mini "documentary" which shows the group filming the promotional video for the track. Today we have Part 1 of 3 to share with you - parts 2 and 3 will follow tomorrow.

The single comes from their album At War With The Mystics, which is out now. To see the full length video for The Yeah Yeah Yeah Song, check back next week and we'll show it in its entirety.

In other news, the Flaming Lips have been confirmed as the support act on the US August Sonic Youth tour.
