Amerie - Why R U?

After parting ways with Columbia, Amerie signed with Island Def Jam and her debut album (although her fourth to date) for the label is 'In Love & War' (dropping on August 11). The first single is 'Why R U?', which samples the classic 80s hip-hop track 'Ego Trippin'' by Ultramagnetic MCs.

The 'Why R U?' video was directed by Ray Kay - the same director behind Christina Milian's 'Us Against the World' and 'Takin' Back My Love', by Enrique Iglesias.
