Philharmonic Hall, in Liverpool, originally opened in the middle of the 19th century, but was totally destroyed in 1933 by a fire and had to be rebuilt in 1939. Nearly 60 years later, in the mid-90s, it had a £10 million refurbishment to completely restore it to its 1930s art deco style.

Every year, around 250,000 people visit the Philharmonic Hall to attend the almost 250 concerts and other events held there.
