We Are Scientists - Nobody Move, Nobody Gets Hurt

Nobody moves. Nobody gets hurt. That is what these three Americans, going by the name 'We Are Scientists', are pounding into our membranes with their new
release. What makes them think we will listen? Perhaps the fact that lyrics such as 'My body is your body / I won't tell anybody / If you want to use my
body / Go for it!', are aided by hectic beats, angular rhythms and a deeply intense bass line.

A brave sound emerges from these New Yorkers, at a difficult time for such bands to infiltrate. With the explosion of the British indie scene, the public are used to an almost watered down, subtle rock, which makes this crashing debut an unexpected one. Dipping their toes into British water with a recent short tour, and with 'Nobody move' on constant rotation on Radio 1, audiences around England have proved they are geared and ready this for a more up-tempo, rock rawkus sound.

Their debut successfully combines quirky and fun with downright first-rate musical talent. Their composition and melodies are insanely catchy, whilst at the same time they create a mirage of intense sounds to capture you. 'Nobody moves, No body gets hurt' is simply enjoyable and pleasurable while still containing musical merit.

This taster of 'We Are Scientists', leaves me eager to hear more, and hints toward future success when they return to Britain in late August for a few shows and festivals. Highly recommended song, and highly recommended band. One to watch for the future, as I believe they will simply get bigger and better.
