Even behind bars T.I. is keeping the hype machine rolling, and there's no better statement than a single like 'Remember Me'. The idea behind the song is a clear message to fans, asking them not to forget about him while he completes his year long jail term. The whole song revolves around his sentence, and T.I. assures fans that he's only "gone momentarily", so "don't bury me yet."
As with his most successful singles from last album 'Paper Trail', 'Remember Me' includes a guest vocalist. Following on from collaborations with Rihanna, Jay-Z and Kanye West, this time he hooks up with soul / R&B legend Mary J. Blige, and it's yet any fusion of soft vocals and hard rapping that works so well. T.I. has stumbled upon the perfect method for bashing out hits, so who can blame him for using a tried-and-tested formula, when it produces songs as great as this.
T.I. needn't worry, fans are not even close to forgetting him.
