The Veronicas - Untouched

It's taken two albums and conquering the US and Australia before The Veronicas have considered breaking the UK market, but boy are we glad they did. 'Untouched' is the debut from these Oz twins, Lisa and Jessica Origliasso, and talk about making a grand entrance.

Opening with some orchestral swooshes, it's not long before the duo are delivering their electro-tinged pop-rock for one of the most catchiest things to hit the charts this year. But where these girls go different from their synth-happy peers is the use of rocky guitars - 'Untouched' is kind of how you'd imagine Pink would sound working with Lady GaGa - and the combo more than works.

Their emo-tinged pop is sassy, danceable and refreshing to the old ears - we heart The Veronicas.
