Do The Cribs have a new single out every month? Sure as hell feels like it. But now the Wakefield trio are getting some widespread recognition at last (it's only taken the poor guys three albums to get there) and there are rumours of Johnny Marr joining the band, things couldn't be looking better for these loveable Yorkshire chappies.
I'm A Realist is the fourth single from current album Men's Needs, Women's Needs, Whatever (making that a quarter of the package available in single-form). The track though is great and classic Cribs by numbers - instantly catchy, genuine post-punk-pop with romanticised lyrics, and sung with a loving regional accent (it beats the fake American thing so many opt for). Which is exactly why we hope these guys don't vanish any time soon. And just you wait - album number four is going to make these three siblings huge.
