Spank Rock - Bump

Spank Rock's ridiculously brilliantly YoYoYoYoYo album is still causing waves in the underground hip hop world and club scene alike, thanks to it's ingenuis cut-and-paste, anything goes ethos.

From all the rave reviews, many will agree that Bump is the best track on that masterpiece, which makes it the obvious choice as the next single.

Bump has a definite retro hip hop feel to it; the beats and old school percussion loop have a strong It's Tricky (by Run DMC) or Paul's Boutique (Beastie Boys) feel to them, before MC Naeem Juwan spits all over it in his goofy helium induced vocals.

A guest appearance by mic vixen Amanda Blank adds a super-speed, "blink and you'll miss it" rap that not only adds a sassy, feline edge to Bump but even manages to throw in a diss about Fergie from the Black Eyed Peas in the process.

Backed by a bunch of equally impressive remixes, you may just have the single of the month of your hands. Now all I need, is to get rid of this "Bump Bump-Bump-Bump Bump" chorus that's been in my head for the last three days.
