Embarrassingly, this reviewer is old to remember the original song Pitbull samples on 'Hotel Room Service' (it was Nightcrawlers' 90s hit 'Push The Feeling On'). Yet despite the catchy and memorable riff in question, the Miami rapper has recorded one of the worse singles of the year, if not decade - but then, this is the same artist who thought his Rebelution album was worthy enough of a release.
Pitbull does his usual cringey thing; raps about the ladies, throws in some cheesy rhymes and swaggers over a pitiful backing track - parts of which sound like a poor version of Lil Wayne's number 1 'Lollipop' (but then, both tracks are produced by Jim Jonsin). Pitbull isn't an artist to look for if you're after intelligent lyrics, impressive rap skills or even a great pop tune. So the question is, what is he good for?
