'We Break The Dawn' is the first single to be released from Michelle Williams' new solo album 'Unexpected'.
Although 'Unexpected' is the Destinys Child star's third release, it's her first commercial and contemporary album, veering away from the previous gospel sounds of her first two records.
The song is very dancey-pop R&B, with a fun tune and a great beat. Williams' vocals go really well with the track, which she co-wrote along with Beyonce's sister Solange Knowles.
Too often when a song has a good dance beat, singers leave it up to the tune to do all the talking, just adding a bit of vocals here and there. Michelle Williams doesn't do this thankfully, and her impressive voice adds a lot to the track.
'We Break The Dawn' is a happy little song that is easy listening and fun to dance to. The song's about partying through the night, and I can definitely see this being a song you could do just that to.
