Metro Station's last single 'Shake It' was undoubtedly a brilliant piece of pop music - not original or inventive by a long shot - but contained such a weighty hook that it was impossible to ignore.
Obviously riding off the back of that successful song, the band are plying the same approach on 'Seventeen Forever' - the kind of keyboard pop-punk anthem that will appeal to angsty young teens, whose idea of rebellion is buying an Avril Lavigne CD and dying their hair red.
Although 'Seventeen Forever' is pretty infectious, it fails to rival 'Shake It' on a catchyness level and the "forever young" lyrics are sickeningly bad to anyone over the age of 16.
