You couldn't avoid the last single by synth-pop duo La Roux, no matter how hard you tried. In For The Kill lingered in the top 10 for weeks and weeks bringing in almost half a million sales since its release in March.
Follow on pre-album single 'Bulletproof' is likely for similar chart favouritism, but lacks the same weighty catchiness of its predecessor.
It has the same familiar intoxicating mesh of 80s influenced synths, drum machines, and weirdy vocals of Elly Jackson as 'In For The Kill', but just doesn't pack the same kind of instant punch that got everyone falling over themselves in giddy excitement last time around.
