Kelly Clarkson - Already Gone

There has been much controversy about this song, with Kelly Clarkson accusing co-writer Ryan Tedder (OneRepublic) of using the same musical arrangement as Beyonce's 'Halo'. Tedder (who wrote both songs in question) denied any similarity, but the chorus speaks for itself - with an almost identical backing track to that of Knowles' hit.

But this is where the similarities end and 'Already gone' is a fantastic song in it's own right, with Kelly yet again lending her vocals to a beautiful piece of music. Clarkson seems to have a way of effortlessly singing with such emotion, that even if she had recorded this track on the happiest day of her life, you would still believe her pain.

Perhaps the music is very similar to 'Halo', but if it hadn't have been pointed out so publicly, there's a chance it would have gone unnoticed and 'Already Gone' would receive the praise it deserves - for being a beautiful addition to Kelly Clarkson's ever growing list of hits.
