Jade Ewen - My Man

Unless you've been hiding under a rock for the past year, you'll undoubtedly know Jade Ewen as our entry in the Eurovision Song Contest. Skip forward four months since debut single 'It's My Time' was released (and ditching Lloyd Webber along the way), the 21-year-old is a true star in the making going off her second solo offering 'My Man'. It's everything that the frankly uninspired dull 'It's My Time' wasn't, and how we're so grateful for it.

Formerly of (the now defunct) girl group Trinity Stone, Ewen is pushing a slick R&B sound for her solo work, rustling up some sexy Usher style beats and contemporary synth-work - but it's the mighty hook which makes 'My Man' one of the best pop songs to surface this year. Jade can out sing her most successful peers and with a great team of writers behind the curtains, it would be fair to say she'll be enjoying a high charting this weekend.

Forget Alexandra Burke, it's Jade's debut album 'Punching Out' you'll be wanting to keep an eye out for.
