Calvin Harris is a confusing fella - on one side he's churning out utterly forgettable songs like 'Merrymaking At My Place' and on the other, he's bringing to the masses his self-described "stadium dance" hits like 'I'm Not Alone'.
Latest single 'Flashback' thankfully falls into the latter category and is a prime example of why he is so in-demand as a festival headliner or producer these days. Ticking all the right boxes, the Scots producer-singer paints his tribute to big dance classics - all bouncy house synths, uplifting vocals (both male and female), big bass-lines and even bigger beats.
It's not reinventing the wheel, but if you're any kind of dance fan you'll know the score with Harris by now - he makes the kind of care-free, hands-in-the-air hedonistic anthems that sound great in the summer Ibiza months, and just as good in your local club.
