Given the brooding, reflecting and slow turning nature of second album ‘A Weekend In The City’, it may surprise the Bloc Party faithful to learn that this sauntering New Order matching new single that was recorded at the close of this summer, represents a bounding stride away from their base sound.
Kele Okereke glides his pleading vocals over a funky percussion jog and spiralling 80s disco guitars, leaning Bloc Party in a more groove friendly direction, showing a rise in guitar led energy. Could this be the start of preparations towards a Madchester reviving third album?
