Be Your Own Pet - Adventure

After their "blink and you'll miss it" 59 second long single Let's Get Sandy at the opening of 2006, teenage rockers Be Your Own Pet serve up another slice of infectious indie from their anticipated debut long-player.

Adventure is a melodic laden indie anthem with tubthumping drums and jagged riffs, with the sassy vocals and playful lyrics of frontwoman Jemina. Less exhilerating than any of Be Your Own Pet's past singles or their energetic stage shows, Adventure is still bursting with the fun and excitement that has seen the youthful quartet go on to become one of the biggest tipped bands.

The Nashville four-piece aren't out to break barriers or create genre-defining music, but aim to make a fun-filled hybrid of punk, garage, rock and indie. Their debut album promises to be a lesson in younthful hedonism. Just please, ditch those Yeah Yeah Yeahs comparisons.
