Ashley Tisdale - It's Alright, It's OK

Better known as Sharpay in the High School Musical series, 23-year-old Ashley Tisdale also has another day job outside of acting and conquering the teen movie market. Having dabbled with R&B on her 2007 debut 'Headstrong', the singer has gone the same way as her Disney / Hollywood Records label mate Hilary Duff, embracing pop-rock on her second (forthcoming) album 'Guilty Pleasure'.

'It's Alright, It's OK' is up there with current hits by Kelly Clarkson, Katy Perry and Pink - particularly the latter, as the song shares more than a resemblance to the outspoken singer's hit 'So What'. Compared to the rushed-feel of 'Headstrong', Tisdale sounds at home loaning her vocals to thrashy guitars and live drums, instead of sounding like another R&B-wannabe.

If truth be told, the market for sassy pop-rock vixens is a little over-saturated, but Ashley rivals her peers in the catchy department - so there's little reason why she too can't be enjoying as much success as her counterparts.
