'Teenage Love Affair' is the latest song from the Alicia Keys album 'As I Am'; the third since her debut release of 'Songs In A Minor'.
The theme of the song as the title suggests is of a teenage love affair, but the fact that Alicia is now 27 kind of takes away from the reality of the song. Having said that, the single is no doubt aimed at teens of this age and should therefore be perfect.
The track has an uplifting and fun feel to it and I can imagine it doing well as a good summer song. It's reminiscent of the 60's and Diana Ross in it's sound and also in parts of the video.
Though it seems a million miles away from her debut 'Falling' in 2001, at least it shows that Alicia can move with the times but still keep some retro class along with it.
