Dido - Don't Believe In Love

It's been over four years since we last heard anything from Dido, with the exception of a free download on her official website in August. But now she finally returns with the lead single from her third album, 'Don't Believe In Love'.

As great as it would be to praise this song, it really doesn't do anything for me. Although it's typical of Dido's style, it lacks much of the same passion she usually puts into her music, and fails to leave the listener feeling any sort of empathy with the song.

Dido's delicate wispy voice at times sounds bored and the melody that she usually does so well, ceases to grab you and tug at the heartstrings.

'Don't Believe In Love' isn't terrible, but knowing how good Dido can be, it seems an odd choice of single to lead up to her first album in five years.
