Had this been released four months ago when the original Rolex hype was in full effect (thanks to Mr Wiley), then North London MC Skepta could have also had a massive hit on his hands - especially with its own dance routine and a video that stars Timmy Mallett for extra novelty value.
But now, it just seems too late and too cheesy at best. If it sounds uncannily like Wiley's effort, it's because 'Rolex Sweep' samples the same synths, which if had been released in June, would have surely jumped up the charts on familiarity points alone.
In terms of a serious single, this will be forgotten before the week is out - the lyrics are cringeworthy: "One glass of champagne for me, two glass of champagne for you, three now do the Rolex Sweep" or the comedy-sending of superstar artists: "Soulja Boy can't dance like me, Michael Jackson can't dance like me", and musically it's uninspired - a generic beat, dull vocals and lacking a decent melody.
Although for a quick pop fix on a drunken night-out, this is ear-pleasing catchy electro (a scene that has died faster than magazines tried to hype it as the next big genre) so could go down well with the clubbers.
