As the intro to 'Last Goodbye' began, I thought to myself "Oh God, it's a camp club track". However, within a few more seconds it became clear that those initial thoughts were wrong, it is in fact a camp boyband song.
Avenue first came to public attention two years ago when they entered X Factor but unfortunately for them, they were kicked off when it came to light that they already had a management deal. 'Last Goodbye' is their debut single and if you're into the cheesiest of cheesy pop then you might like it.
The five guys in the band look like they were born (or at least transformed) to be in a boyband. There are all the typical token members - short hair, dark hair, floppy hair etc. I suppose it's about time another one came along... But even Take That have started to play down the cheese factor these days - take note Avenue!
'Last Goodbye' isn't a good song - it's not catchy, it's quite irritating and I can't work out if it's trying to be a bit dancey or not. If it is, it doesn't really work - but if you're female aged 10 - 15 then maybe you'll like it.
