There is something so weirdly addictive about 'Headphones' - the new single from Esser - that suggests the guy must have been dabbling in witchcraft. Either that, or he's stumbled upon a secret formula for writing the perfect blend of skewed-pop, so infectious it's likely to contaminate anyone who resides on these isles.

Part pop, part electro and part wonky comical genius, he's somehow mangled elements of these to recreate Beck's 'Loser' as reimagined by Hot Chip. Here, Esser comes across as nothing short of brilliance, and the result is something that sees him as one of the UK's most promising newcomers.
