Nelly - Body On Me (Feat. Akon & Ashanti)

'Body On Me' is the next track to be taken from Nelly's fifth album 'Brass Knuckles'. The song features long term girlfriend and fellow singer Ashanti as a guest vocalist, plus Akon adding both vocals and production on the track.

Although Ashanti also has this song on her album 'The Declaration', this version is different. Here, Nelly sings the majority of the track, whereas in Ashanti's version of 'Body On Me' it's vice versa. The couple wrote the lyrics together along with Akon, who features on both singer's renditions of the track.

'Body On Me' is a great summer song with a nice beat and a good, fun, feel to it. The opening of the track takes you back to Will Smith's early 'Fresh Prince' days, and although the tune does sound similar to a lot of other R&B songs, this doesn't steal the feel-good feeling away from it.

Play this on a hot day while having a few drinks at a BBQ and it's bound to go down well. It's fun and catchy but at the same time mellow and laid back. Even if you don't particularly like this song, there's not really anything to hate about it.
