After the success of her debut single 'Sweet About Me', Australian singer Gabriella Cilmi returns with her follow up 'Save The Lies'.
'Save The Lies' couldn't sound any more different to the (apparantly) 16 year old's debut. The song is much more commercial than 'Sweet About Me', with a dancey beat and very poppy vibe. It has a really strong tune that is bound to allow the single to go far in the charts, especially now she's become a known artist.
This could easily be a song by Girls Aloud - it sounds as though it could have been pulled right off their album, which means it's almost guaranteed to give Gabriella Cilmi success.
The thing that seperates Cilmi from more poppy acts such as Girls Aloud is her raspy soulful voice. Her vocals sound as though she's had Amy Winehouse and Anastacia's vocal chords mixed together and then implanted into her throat.
Expect high things from this young Aussie singer if her first two singles are anything to go by.
