The Saturdays - If This Is Love

New girl group The Saturdays release their debut single 'If This Is Love', amidst much positive feedback, heavy radio play and high expectations of reaching number one.

Having been compared to Girls Aloud and the Pussycat Dolls , there is sure to be a lot of success from this group, although the single shows that they may have a different sound to the aforementioned girl bands.

The main similarity is that all three groups consists of attractive girls and with The Saturdays including two members of S Club 8, Girls Aloud coming from a TV talent contest and The Pussycat Dolls also having had a television show, TV is another thing they all have in common.

'If This Is Love' sounds quite similar to a Girls Aloud song but doesn't seem to be as well produced. It's catchy and will do well as a pop song, but maybe the band need to work more as a group, as for now it sounds more like a dance track with added vocals.

Time will tell if The Saturdays will be the next big British girl band.
