Ashlee Simpson - Little Miss Obsessive

After the hit single 'Outta My Head', Ashlee Simpson seems to have gone back to her pop-punk roots for her latest release 'Little Miss Obsessive'.

While 'Outta My Head' was a Timbaland produced pop song, 'Little Miss Obsessive' is a lot less commercial and therefore might not be as popular. This is a shame as this single seems much more Ashlee and suits her previous image as a punky babe. It will no doubt do well and although her last single was a more mainstream tune, there will always be a market for songs like this, as Avril Lavigne proves.

'Little Miss Obsessive' is a far better song than Ashlee Simpson has released in a while and certainly shows off her vocal talent a lot more. I hope that she sticks to this style of music and doesn't decide to try and go more poppy again. Although Timbaland is a good producer, sometimes it's best to stick to your own style rather than try and imitate others.

Anyone who was an Ashlee Simpson fan prior to 'Outta My Head' should buy this track, it's a lot better and she's definitely gone back to her previous roots.
