"The cat got fat and they took away his money, so they sold his wife to man named Tony!"
These punchy prosaic lyrics are thread through a progressive rhythm bustling instrumental, making full use of a sliding electro element to give off some slightly edgy energy. This 6 strong cockney troupe manages to attain an Underworld atmospheric backing frame that is decorated with Hadouken! flavoured vocal snap and lyrical pungency.
More atmospheric touches are imparted in the slower, rumbling ‘Trees Sway’, as singer Dave Human steps up the clarity of his vocals, adopting a pitch similar to that of a performance poet. Pedestrian, bustling, but impact building bass lines gives this eclectic offering profile and an uncompromising edge that is polished off by electro intonations.
A Human, take a step outside of the box to show freshness and an engaging ability to give their lyrics equal importance, something that is slowly slipping away in modern music.
