Tipped for big things, this former soap actress (Yasmin from Channel 5's defunct Family Affairs if you must know) Ebony Bones is causing quite the stir on le blogosphere. Self-produced and self-recorded, second single - the crudely titled Don't Fart On My Heart, is a multi-layered carnival of intricate tribal beats, trash-guitar chords and screaming wild banshee vocal chants, whilst the percussion sounds like a thousand oil drums being battered with sticks.
A three minutes plus exhilerating listen, Don't Fart On My Heart constantly evolves and builds, with swift changes and always offering the unexpected. It comes of little surprise to hear Ms Bones has already supported Basement Jaxx on tour and can count uber-producer Timbaland as a fan - pretty good going for a self-taught jack-of-all trades, with just a few singles pressed and a penchant for ignoring current music fads to do her own thing.
Are we looking at the next M.I.A.? Well if she keeps on throwing out tunes as sumptuous as this, no doubt about it.
