Already enjoying success Stateside with this hit single (number one for 8 weeks, no less), rapper Flo Rida is hoping 'Low' will also be swiping the pocket money from a ringtone buying youth in the UK. T-Pain is roped-in, for once dropping the auto-tune vocal he's become linked with and the results are a more club-themed end of the hip-hop spectrum, that will have mass broad appeal.
After morse-code digital beeps that would rival the Knight Rider theme and gloss-shine club-hop handclap beats, Flo spits the unforgettable chorus of "applebottom jeans and the boot with the fur, the whole club was lookin' at her." Lyrics continue to be witty and Rida's flow-style is fast, quick-sharp and precise like a surgeon's knife. It's not rocket science, it doesn't jump across groundbreaking boundary borders, but 'Low' is a real club bumper for those who like a bit of oomph to their uptempo hip-hop tracks.
