Most musicians who are still eighteen years into their career show heavy signs of ageing, if they haven't already landed themselves in a totally disastrous position. Moby on the other hand, is one of those few rare artists who insists on reinventing himself time over, always trying something new and in this case, a mish-mash of styles like industrial dance and hip-hop emerge.
The latter influence comes from Nigerian crew 419 Squad and London's MC Aynzli, both who rap with lightning speed over intense and paranoid mechanical bass, sinister electronics and heavier-than-lead beats. It is the kind of gruelling dance floor track that you would normally expect from names like Mekon and Teddybears.
Moving on with each release has ensured Moby still remains interesting and daresay, vital all these years. Who knows what wonderful treats and surprised he has up his sleeve for the forthcoming Last Night album. Recommended single!
