R&B starlet Rihanna is only really in her element when her vocals are joined by a banging dancefloor anthem, so Don't Stop The Music, the fourth (and final?) single from Good Girl Gone Bad is everything you've come to love from Miss Umbrella herself.
Stargate, the Norwegian supremo production team behind past hits for Nas, Ne-Yo and err, Mis-teeq, move away from the R&B tendencies of previous efforts, giving Rihanna a backing track of hard 4/4 club-themed beats.
With a Michael Jackson sample slid into the chorus ("mama-se, mama-sa, mama-ku-sa"), the former Good Girl coos her hypnotic vocal line of "Like the way you do this, keep on rockin to it. Please don't stop the, please don't stop the music" on top of a synth loop to rival Timbaland's SexyBack collaboration with Justin Timberlake.
Don't Stop The Music is pure pop-perfection that thankfully sounds like a million miles away from the too-sickly-for-its-own-good R&B slickness of last single Hate That I Love You.
