Black Affair - Tak! Attack!
[V2]

Steve Mason sure is a busy boy. Not content with his King Biscuit Time project after the demise of The Beta Band, we now find him in the third part of his recording trilogy; the electro loving Black Affair.

Once again we see him jump ship and explore something completely new and different that may disappoint some of his fanbase - but then, when was Mason ever part of anything that could be considered predictable?

Tak! Attack!, his first single under the new moniker and first taster of debut album Pleasure Pressure Point (due 2008), is a mish-mash of styles - namely r&b, electro and pop, yet everything flows so coherently that one thing is most definitely clear; Mason has found his true calling as Black Affair and more recognition is surely just around the corner.

Tak! Attack! is all rave synths, twinkly keyboards and bouncing beats, as well as Steve's snarling shouts of "TAK!...ATTACK!". It's a place where Salt 'n' Pepa, Streetsounds Electro and Detroit Techno all collide with brilliant results.

Black Affair is surely his most accessible venture yet; merged with a glamourous deal with V2 it can only ensure that for once, more than a few thousand people will finally be hearing Mason's output. Coming to both daytime radio and a dancefloor near you.
