Gallows - In The Belly Of A Shark
[Warners]

Blimey, who would have thought Gallows would have become this popular? From sweaty underground gigs and self-releasing their debut album Orchestra Of Wolves, the band are now wowing audiences worldwide (including a Warped Tour of America), selling more records than they've had hot dinners, collaborating with grime MC Lethal Bizzle on a new cover of Staring At The Rudebois (by The Ruts) and even appearing on the next Guitar Hero video game with this single, In The Belly Of A Shark.

The track shows exactly how the band have reached the position underlined above; Gallows thrash out a hybrid of metal-pop-rock of Herculean proportions and front man Frank Carter screams out lyrics until his vocal chords burst from his throat. So on form is the production, that once you've wiped the blood from your poor ears you have to question whether the band were playing live in the room in front of you (so you better avoid the intimacy of listening to the band's ramshackle riffs on the iPod then). Gallows worldwide take-over is only just beginning, right now this band can do no wrong.
