Possibly the most entertaining live band around, The Go! Team have managed to capture some of their stage energy on new single Doing It Right - the next flippant mish-mash of sounds from their dizzying second album, Proof Of Youth.

You should know the score by now; it's an extravagant fanfare of horns and 60's girl group singers, shouty vocals, twinkling xylophones and obese drumming. The whole thing is pure pop magic and I'm not quite sure what planet The Go! Team and their party-themed music emerged from, but it sure sounds like the funnest place around.

The prospect of cover version Willow's Song - originally from The Wicker Man soundtrack - did fill me with dread upon hearing the news. But the track isn't too dissappointing, largely because The Go! Team remain so faithful to Paul Giovanni's version, that there is little to fault.
