Eve - Tambourine

Last time we heard from Eve, she was loaning her vocals to Kelly Rowland's Like This, but here we find the East Coast rapper back filling her own shoes with the new Swizz Beats produced single, Tambourine.

Expectations laid on the collaboration were not in vein either, as the track is a club stomper and a half, proving that after three solo albums and starring in her own mainstream TV show, Eve still has it. Tambourine is a fusion of titanic beats and a concoction of samples siphoned from a massive range of sources; 70's hip hop (a definite influence of the Furious 5 can be heard in the backing track), masses of rhythmic percussion and a carnival of whistles and alarm bells.

If this single didn't whet the appetite enough, Tambourine precedes Eve's fourth LP - the star-studded Here I Am and judging from the list of heavyweight producers expected to be working their magic on the record (Dr Dre, Timbaland, Pharrell Williams, Scott Storch etc are all rumoured), the record looks set to be a future classic.
