The Black Ghosts - It's Your Touch

After the split of Simian in 2005, James Ford and James Shaw have since gone on to universal success as dance duo Simian Mobile Disco. Simon Lord meanwhile, can now be found making goth electro pop (their words, not mine!) with DJ Touche from Wiseguys under the title of The Black Ghosts.

A couple of singles have been released so far, to little mainstream attention but plenty of high praise and It's Your Touch hopes to continue the band's underground success - especially of last single Anyway You Choose To Give It.

Sadly, the duo don't live up to their previous release, but that is not to say It's Your Touch is without charm; just trying hearing the track and not falling for that bassline or infectious hook. It's not an instant dance stormer, but a grower that after a few listens, beings to shine.

Strangely, an Ashley Beedle Heavy Disco edit is so similar to the band's own version that it truthfully should not have been included. Next time lads, sort out a Crystal Castles remix instead, or something else equally substantial that will make the single worth shelling out for.
