A haunting piece from Bonnie Prince Billy's last album The Letting Go, Strange Form Of Life is everything you could want from the talented songsmith, who to date, has written more beautiful and classic tracks than most bands have had hot dinners. Backed by intimate, low-key new versions of some of his oldest tracks, the single is must-have for fans and newcomers alike.
Strange Form Of Life is a rustic, homespun recorded-by-the-fire type folky lament, lulling along with acoustic guitars, pots and pans percussion and a sweet, drifting shared vocal between Billy and Dawn McCarthy of Faun Fables. It is by far, one of the better songs on The Letting Go, which by all means, is no easy feat.
