When a band member's status is brought-up at every possible mention, you know their actual music output isn't going to be something to write home about. Fronted by actor Jared Leto of Requiem For A Dream and Fight Club fame (see, even we had to namedrop), 30 Seconds To Mars is safe, predictable rock made for people who don't actually like to rock.

Attack has everything you'd expect from daytime radio and commercial rock; cue the cheesy synths and loud, shouty vocals, to the melodic riffs and stomach-churning quasi-emo lyrics; "From end to beginning, a new day is coming and I am finally free".

30 Seconds To Mars will probably have a big hit on their hands with Attack, but as far as making anything remotely interesting that doesn't sound like every other huge America rock outfit, you'll have to look elsewhere.
