Room has now well and truly been found in hip-hop’s main area for the dark styles of Ben Drew (Plan B), who has gradually grown out from his acoustic roots.

A chilling accompaniment leads into the jabbing and dialogue driven vocals of Ben that sets a cold and feisty tone. Before loops of Oxide & Neutrino’s (or Prodigy's) chorus from ‘No Good 4 Me’, provides contrasts of soft soul to highlight Ben’s anger and growl.

It is certainly a step closer to the mainstream for Plan B and could be enough to temp people into digging deeper into his darker and more sinister material.

The Brucker Remix feat Mpho Skeef distorts the sound enough and slows down the beats, to give the number a fresh, atmospheric perspective. It also shows that Plan B songs are malleable and versatile, something that is more and more necessary in this day and age.
