Ever wondered what glam rock and fuzz-pop would sound like if they were ever merged? Well probably not, but that's exactly what Pop Levi has plotted to tackle in both his new single Sugar, Assault Me Now and the forthcoming tongue-twisting album, The Return To Form Black Magick Party.
The former Ladytron member who now falls under the guise of Pop Levi, is practically being touted as the next saviour of music thanks to the way the press and world of blogging have been going lately.
Having had his named thrown alongside acts as far afield as Prince, Hendrix and Marc Bolan, it's obvious Levi's forthcoming album is a pretty dizzying mix.
The Bolan comparison, although a little obvious, may not be too far off the mark. Afterall, Sugar, Assault Me Now has a certain glam charm to it, from the stomping beats and handclaps. But it's Levi's madcap invention of turbo-driven, fuzzy rock n roll, an elf-like falsetto and fun-filled pop that makes the song so infectious.
