The Earlies - Breaking Point / No Love In Your Heart
[Names]

The Earlies have been absent for a while since their debut album and it appears to be an age since the cross-Atlantic collective released those early lucrative self-pressed 7" singles. Luckily, so deliciously diverse was These Were The Earlies that there's little chance fans of the group have already forgotten their psychedelic voyage through folk, jazz, future-indie and space-gospel.

From the first notes of swashing cello and antique Moog synths, No Love In Your Heart sounds like The Earlies and their approach to combining traditional instrumentation with electronic tinges, never left. Fused with marching band drums, synths, piano, vocal harmonies and a beautiful horn section, their sound has never been so vibrant, so spine-tingling and so unlike anything else around at present.

The Earlies have always succeeded with their vocal-free tracks and instrumental Breaking Point retains the impact of their back catalogue. Here the Anglo-American band dive headfirst into post-Krautrock influences with nice Indian angle. The band take-on a Neu! style rhythm section with building layers of sitars and horns, showcasing the epic prowess of their full multi-instrumental band that makes their live sets unforgettable.

We welcome back this refreshing band with open arms and already, The Enemy Chorus is looking as a contender for the most commonly name-checked album of 2007.
