Thom Yorke's solo material has received nothing but praise since he released debut album Eraser last month, but when bands like Hood have doing the whole indie-electronica stuff for a fair few years now to little attention or acclaim, you can't help but feel that the whole thing is a tad overhyped.
This isn't to say Analyse is a bad track. On the contrary, it's a fantastic song and one of the clear highlights on the faultless Eraser. Yorke's droning, monotone trademark vocals find the Radiohead frontman in an intimate light, as skuttered beats, pianos, keyboards and synthesized strings are merged for a truly haunting silicone symphony.
