The Charlatans - You're So Pretty, We're So Pretty

There's only thing worse than a greatest hits collection and that's a quick cash-in remix single. Unfortunately, The Charlatans are guilty as charged with this new release; a Youth remix of their 2000 track You're So Pretty, We're So Pretty.

Now considering they've been together for 16 years and released nine studio albums, a band like The Charlatans, who've made more great tracks than most other band's have had hot dinners, shouldn't be releasing aimless singles like this.

In short, the 06 Version of You're So Pretty, We're So Pretty simply adds an accessible dance beat to speeded-up version of the song. Quite what the point of this remix is, I'm still unsure as a new recording altogether would have been more appropriate as a bonus song on the greatest hits collection.

Die hard fans will already have the song from the Wonderland album and the new dance-orientated angle differs so much from the normal sound of The Charlatans, that the new target audience is unlikely to pick up on the band's original work. Seek out the Forever: The Singles compilation instead, it's well worth it.
