Groove bending electro with a new wave kick and a Robots In Disguise having a guest appearance on a Siouxsie And The Banshees flavour. This renders the title track a sporadic shot of attitude and belief delivered with a mixture of provocation and drive.
Carah Faye nails down a commanding performance, rising with the rhythm providing for lush interludes. Thus creating a base for her gnarly thrust to take off from and let the atmospheric accompaniment push her along.
A hypnotic vocal hold is placed on the driving electro/rock force of ‘Starts With One’, mingling a yearning indie mood that occasional glances towards mainstream indie when Chad Petree exposes his Tom Smith (Editors) range. Floor shuddering back-beats and the lush backing vocals of Faye strokes and smoothens out the more rugged lead.
These four life-swirling LA formed atmosphere builders, have passed the first base in their rush to rejuvenate the electro-indie world.
