The Telescopes - Night Terrors
[Trensmat]

Neatly following on from their Auditory Illusions improvised live EP, skewed purveyors of noise experimentation The Telescopes return with two tracks of alien-crafted drone-scuzz.

Both tracks on this 7" cover a lot of stylistic turf and follows it's own disctinctive path. DSM-IV Axis 1:307.46 is drenched in a swarm of wasp-fuzz and a deep, rhythmic groove that soaks in electronic embellishments, theremins, mouth organs and other-wordly noise along the way. It's as though they have immersed themselves in the repetitive grooves of Suicide and the space-jazz of Sun Ra to create something completely new and abstract in the process.

Household Objective #4 on the other hand, is pretty self-explanatory. The Telescopes look to the endless possibilities of everyday objects to create an eery pallette of sinister post-ambience. Manipulated sounds provide a backbone of tingling percussion, over warm pulses and off-kilter noise variations.
